Yardsale Bench

I found this at a yard sale for 10.00..it was heavy and had good bones, but it needed some loving!

Removed the fabric and a million staples to find this stained silk fabric underneath.

No staples here just lots of rusty nails!

This is a swatch of a fabric I fell in love with last month but had no idea what I was going to do with it!

And this is her all redone..check out her sexy curves..

A little distressing here and there.

I think she is a keeper!

Coffee Table Transformation

This past summer I spent lots of time redoing furniture for my daughters college apartment. I found this heavy wood table at a local yard sale for 10.00. I knew it would work for what I was looking for. The structure was in great condition but the top did have some marks on it. No problem, no one would ever know that when I was done. We first removed the top and sanded and primed the table. I also love that it has a drawer and a shelf underneath!

Painted this baby black!

Padded and covered the top in fabric I already had. I planned on tufting but my daughter liked it like this. Now it serves as a great bench at the end of her bed. A great place to sit and chat with friends, a place for books underneath and a drawer to place papers in. We found a couple of baskets that sit on the shelf to keep things neat.

Thanks for visiting!!
