Tulle Wreath

This was one of those projects where I had bought the supplies a while back and they sat in the closet. Yesterday I decided while I watched holiday movies I would do something productive. I have seen the tulle wreaths all over the Internet and had wanted to make one.  Here is what you need: A roll of tulle bought mine for half off at Hobby Lobby, a wreath form (also from Hobby Lobby), plastic snowflake ornaments (Dollar tree), Glitter, glue and a glue gun. Ohhh and some ribbon it hang your wreath.

I started out cutting my tulle, my method is not one to follow, I had to do some trimming. Personally next time I will measure and cut all my tulle ahead of time. As I cut a few I started tying the on my form. I would do several than push them all together real tight. Once you get going this is easy and quick!

I had looked for white snowflakes and blue ones, never found the blue so I brushed glue on some of the white one and added my own glitter. HINT: do not do this while sitting on your bed as a large dog could come bounding in and jump in the middle of all your glitter just to say hello! Just saying it could happen. On the plus side you will wake up for mornings to come with a little sparkle!!

See that arrow, yup that's where for whatever reason I cut too short. I am dealing with that by trying to hide it with my hanging ribbon!

I had this ribbon on hand and I really want a solid color so I will be on the hunt for a wider, solid blue ribbon, but you get the idea.

Not too shabby for my first one! This is will be going to school with my daughter to add a little holiday decor to her college apartment.

Thanks for joining me and hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving Holiday!

How sweet! It looks like something the sugar plum fairy would wear. I think I'd better pin this one. ~ Maureen
