Coffee Table Transformation

This past summer I spent lots of time redoing furniture for my daughters college apartment. I found this heavy wood table at a local yard sale for 10.00. I knew it would work for what I was looking for. The structure was in great condition but the top did have some marks on it. No problem, no one would ever know that when I was done. We first removed the top and sanded and primed the table. I also love that it has a drawer and a shelf underneath!

Painted this baby black!

Padded and covered the top in fabric I already had. I planned on tufting but my daughter liked it like this. Now it serves as a great bench at the end of her bed. A great place to sit and chat with friends, a place for books underneath and a drawer to place papers in. We found a couple of baskets that sit on the shelf to keep things neat.

Thanks for visiting!!

Love the way the bench turned out. I'm kinda partial to padded benches. Very pretty throw on top too.

Hey Margaret!

This turned out great! I recently finished making over a coffee table too so I know how much hard work goes into it. I also have to say that I love your little pups. We have a dog too, Lily.

Feel free to stop by my blog and check out my topless table transformation and the story of how we rescued Lily.
