Updated Mirror

I found this 70's mirror at a thrift store, fell in love with the detail and as I took it off the wall realized it was a molded plastic. But since I could not tell by looking at it, I figured no one else would either!

I took this pretty lady home, primed her, added a coat of white paint to her and than glazed her with a coffee colored glaze. I removed the mirror,  had hubby cut some wood and painted with chalkboard paint. All put back together I love her look.

Beautiful, Margaret! The detailing on this frame is amazing! Love it as a chalkboard. It would look so elegant in a dining room or even bring that touch of elegance to a kitchen. I think I would use it in my craft/sewing room to jot down ideas.
