From Table to Bed

I must admit, I am always looking for a good deal. So much so to Mr. C's dismay! I will find a deal and have no clue what I am going to do with it but just cannot pass it up. That is where these little ladies came in. I found these on a local online yard sale. They were just the benches to a farm type table. No table included, just these two ladies. But for 20.00 for both, I could not pass up the deal.  Mr. C and I drove out to get them and just let me say, I am so glad I took him because it way down a county road and I know I would have ended up lost. lol

They were being stored in a shed, we loaded them up and they came home and sat in our garage. They sat and sat and sat! One day a friend of mine told me she was looking for a bench for the end of her daughters bed. DING DING DING!! Out came one of the benches. We sanded and painted this lady a deep black. I added foam and a scape of material I had and this old table bench now sits at the end of a bed.

I love how she came out. Now I just need to pull out her sister and give her a makeover. I think that might be a summer project.

That's a great idea to transform an old bench into something useful. Love the fabric.

Like you I would of bought those gorgeous benches. But being the Charmer is so small I don't know where I would put them, but I would of bought them I love the fabric you used on the transformation, lucky lady she is! Sorry it took me awhile to stop by, been outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Thanks so much you shared your creativeness at Sunday's Best.
