Tablescape Thursday

I would thank our Hostess for
Tablescape Thursday - go visit
Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
Today I am sharing my Easter table with you. It was just my dear husband and two kids this Easter, at first I was a little sad that we would not have friends or extended family here but I soon got over that when I decided to have dinner in the breakfast room, a more relaxed setting. I set up the dining room table for the food. Below is the dining room table, complete with bunnies and eggs. These are more eggs I painted this year. I think the kids liked the bright colors better than the light colored eggs I painted.
On the Menu
Brown Sugar Glazed Ham
au gratin potatoes
green bean casserole
corn casserole
lime jello salad
fruit salad
stuffed eggs
stuffed celery
black olives
green onions
rolls
sock it to me cake
tres leches cake

This is the breakfast room table. I told you I would make a flower ball! I love it and it was soooo easy to make.

And here are the pastel eggs I painted..these are my favorite.

I used a white tablecloth and everything just went blah, so I went with a black overlay..yes its not springy but it really made my blue pop!

I just can't get my eyes off of that flower ball. I wished you would have spilled the beans on how you did that. I've seen some made with a floral ball however I am curious how you did it with that Easter grass. Lovely colors...I love that Tiffany box blue!

Margaret...Wow...this is beautiful! I love the pastel eggs and the brightly colored ones, too...so don't make me pick! :-) The flower ball is stunning! I bet your family was in awe of these two tables. The menu sounded very yummy!
Oh, before I forget, my Big Lots still has the Gibson dishes...I went back and bought another set about a week ago, so I'd have 12 place settings. So check your Big Lots. Go through the pieces...I had a few defective ones and just took those few back and they swapped those out for me. I love the china...can't beat the price!
